Question

Transcribed Image Text:For this assignment, you'll put together a Google Slide presentation based on some of the main discussion points
from Becoming Human Part 2, below.
I have outlined what should be in each slide. You'll need to include partial or short quotes for each slide with
accurate timestamped citations. Any other unquoted information from the videos or video lectures must also be cited
accurately. Slide text should be in full paragraphs, no bulletpoints. Responses should only be based on the
information from the materials noted in each slide. Please embed your slide deck directly in the textbox.
Timestamp example format: (Diokno, 2026, 1:38), FOR THE LECTURE VIDEO
Guidelines:
Slide (X2) Becoming Human 2 discussed a specific strategy that is theorized to have helped Homo erectus survive
for as long as they did. Discuss (2) traits or concepts (1 on each slide) that other animals do not have that helped
Homo erectus perform this strategy. One concept should be from materials in this last section of the course. The
other concept is a specific one that was covered earlier in the first part of the semester that played a key role in
this strategy. First, you'll need to identify and explain the specific strategy being described in Becoming Human 2.
Then, go into your analysis for each concept or traits. For each slide, provide images (at least 2 each) of the
screenshots from the course materials used to help support your analysis. In captions below the picture, briefly
explain the picture and why it was chosen.
Materials needed: Becoming Human 2, Homo erectus video lecture, relevant materials from the first part of the
course that are appropriate to justify your rationale for the key concepts you chose.
Slides (X2) - Becoming Human 2 discusses the growth rate of Homo erectus in the example of Turkana Boy.
Explain what the primary anatomical focus of this discussion is. In explaining the primary focus, you'll need to
apply two specific concepts (one slide for each one) and items that are related to this which we covered in the
second part of the course on primates. Include screenshots of images from both Becoming Human 2 and the course
materials you chose that help support the basis of your analysis.
Materials needed: Becoming Human 2, appropriate course material from Primatology phase of the course.
Slides (X2) - Becoming Human 2 mentions the importance of acquiring meat. Based on information from the Homo
erectus video lecture, explain two significant anatomical changes (one for each slide) that appear in Homo erectus
that are tied to sustained meat acquisition and explain how and why they are related. Include two pictures of
screenshots (on each slide) from the video lecture and Becoming Human 2 that support your analyses.
Materials needed: Homo erectus video lecture, Becoming Human 2
